Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
